Brian Gurrin at the IGRS 90th anniversary conference

On Saturday 12 September at the National Library of Ireland Brian Gurrin, VRTI Census Specialist. was delighted to take part in the Irish Genealogical Research Society’s 90th anniversary conference.

Brian’s paper “Recovering Ireland’s lost census records – census records in the Virtual Record Treasury of Ireland” was part of a panel with three luminaries of the genealogy world: Julian Walton (IGRS Vice President); author and genealogist John Grenham; and Colette O’Flahety, former Chief Herald of Ireland. Needless to say, with such a line-up this was a well attended session.
